Duty Officer Vehicles

Duty Officer vehicle 1 – 2003 Chevy Suburban
Duty Officer vehicle 2 – 2005 Ford Explorer
Chiefs Vehicle - 2009 Ford Expedition EL SSV
With 50% of the hazmat teams calls being duty officer calls the team greatly stands behind its duty officer program. 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year there is a duty officer on call. The on call chiefs, captains or lieutenants are ready to be the first response officer when a hazmat emergency occurs or a fire chief has a question in regards to an incident he or she is on. These vehicles capabilities are slightly different depending on space but overall they are equipped with spill control supplies, air monitoring equipment, mercury clean up kits, material sampling kits, and other equipment that is often used during duty officer calls. All three are equipped with on board computers with the Expedition sporting a MacBook Pro. The Expedition and Suburban both also have HP Printer/Copies. When the vehicles are not being used they double as squads.
