Tank Truck Overturns
An overturned tank truck full of corn syrup tied up traffic on Friday September 25,1999 for more than four hours in Manheim Township at the westbound onramp of Route 283 at Route 72.
Attempts to drain the tank fell short as some of the 46,000 pounds of syrup began leaking out of the large trailer.

Members of the Southern Manheim Township Fire Company and Lancaster County Haz Mat Team assisted in the cleanup into the night. No injuries were reported
